Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Artisanstudio website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.
Custom Furniture Services
Artisanstudio provides custom furniture design, manufacturing, and installation services. All projects are subject to consultation, design approval, and written agreement before commencement of work.
Design Process
Initial consultations are provided to discuss project requirements. Design concepts and blueprints will be created based on client specifications. Client approval is required before manufacturing begins. Changes to approved designs may result in additional costs and extended timelines.
Pricing and Payment
All pricing is provided as estimates and may vary based on final specifications, materials selected, and project complexity. A deposit is required before work begins. Final payment is due upon completion and before delivery. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, and check.
Materials and Craftsmanship
We use premium hardwoods and sustainable materials. Natural variations in wood grain, color, and texture are inherent characteristics and not considered defects. We guarantee the quality of our craftsmanship for a period specified in your project agreement.
Timeline and Delivery
Project timelines are estimates and may be affected by material availability, project complexity, and unforeseen circumstances. We will communicate any delays promptly. Delivery and installation are scheduled upon project completion and final payment.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Deposits are non-refundable once design work has commenced. If work has begun on manufacturing, cancellation fees will apply based on materials purchased and labor invested.
Warranty
We warrant that our furniture is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the period specified in your project agreement. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.
Limitation of Liability
Artisanstudio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services or products.
Intellectual Property
All designs, blueprints, and creative work produced by Artisanstudio remain our intellectual property. Clients receive rights to the physical furniture piece but not to reproduce the design commercially.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from these terms or our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Seattle, Washington.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with any project-specific agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Artisanstudio regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these terms due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, material shortages, or government actions. In such events, timelines will be extended accordingly, and both parties will work together to find reasonable solutions.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms of Service without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms to any successor entity or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Waiver
No waiver of any term or condition of these Terms of Service shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or any other term or condition. Any failure to assert a right or provision under these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Artisanstudio, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of our services, violation of these terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
Acceptance of Terms
By using our website, requesting a consultation, or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services or website.
Payment Terms and Conditions
Payment terms are specified in your project agreement. Generally, we require a deposit to begin work, with progress payments at key milestones, and final payment upon completion and before delivery.
Deposit Requirements
Deposits are typically 30-50% of the total project cost, depending on project size and complexity. This deposit secures your project slot and covers initial design work and material procurement.
Progress Payments
For larger projects, we may schedule progress payments at key milestones such as design approval, material procurement, and mid-construction. These terms will be clearly outlined in your project agreement.
Late Payment
Late payments may result in project delays. We reserve the right to suspend work if payments are overdue by more than 14 days. Interest may accrue on overdue amounts at a rate specified in your agreement.
Quality Standards and Inspections
We maintain the highest standards of quality in all our work. Clients are welcome to inspect work in progress by appointment. Final inspection occurs upon delivery, and any concerns must be reported within 48 hours.
Acceptance of Work
By accepting delivery and making final payment, you acknowledge that the work meets the agreed specifications, subject to any warranty terms. Minor adjustments may be made post-delivery as part of our standard service.
Intellectual Property Rights
All design concepts, drawings, blueprints, and creative work remain the intellectual property of Artisanstudio unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients receive rights to use the physical furniture piece but not to reproduce designs commercially.
Design Modifications
If you wish to modify approved designs, additional design fees may apply. Significant changes after production begins may result in additional costs and timeline adjustments.
Limitation of Liability and Insurance
Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed. We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our operations. Clients are responsible for insuring delivered furniture and ensuring adequate coverage during transport if arranging their own delivery.
Damage During Transport
We take every precaution to protect furniture during transport. If damage occurs during our delivery, we will repair or replace the affected items at no cost. Damage discovered after delivery must be reported within 48 hours.
Dispute Resolution Process
We are committed to resolving any concerns fairly and promptly. If you have an issue, please contact us immediately so we can address it together.
Informal Resolution
Most issues can be resolved through direct communication. We encourage open dialogue and will work with you to find mutually acceptable solutions.
Formal Dispute Resolution
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, unless both parties agree to an alternative method.
Modifications to Orders
Once an order has been placed and production has begun, modifications may be possible but are subject to feasibility, additional costs, and timeline adjustments. Significant changes may require a new quote and revised timeline. We will discuss all modification options and associated costs before proceeding.
Change Orders
Change orders must be submitted in writing and approved by both parties. Additional charges for modifications will be clearly outlined before work proceeds. We reserve the right to decline modifications that would compromise the structural integrity or aesthetic quality of the piece.
Quality Standards
We maintain the highest standards of quality in materials, craftsmanship, and finishing. All furniture is inspected at multiple stages of production to ensure it meets our exacting standards before delivery.
Inspection and Acceptance
Upon delivery, you will have the opportunity to inspect your furniture. Any defects or issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. We will work promptly to address any legitimate concerns.
Insurance and Risk of Loss
Furniture remains our property until final payment is received. We maintain insurance coverage during production and transport. Once delivered and payment is complete, responsibility for the furniture transfers to you. We recommend maintaining appropriate insurance coverage for your custom furniture.
Force Majeure
